Going Around in Circles in Quezon City Memorial Circle

[Wile E. Cayote is a trademark of Warner Brothers.]
I got lost in QC Memorial Circle because WOW! Because their security guards don't know where to find places - as if you asked them where this and that is and they will just point you in all goddamn directions around the park.

I was looking for this Urban Garden, so I asked the nearest security guard where can I find it. So, he pointed me in a certain direction and I went there. Sadly, the said urban garder was not there. So I asked another security and he pointed me in another direction. Again, the said garden was not there - And I ask another security guard, the janitors, people around the park, till I almost  toured the whole GODDAMN PARK!

So, in the end of this useless effort, I met my friends holding free plants that they got in the garden, while I almost toured the whole park, getting nothing but a bad case of MUDDY AND SOAR FEET.

The best thing to do? Go home and sleep. Nothing a good sleep can't fix... while cursing the whole park in your dreams.

Focus

My friend Rence Chan always says that a group must stay focused. That's right,
F O C U S....

Now what happened if you're out of focus?

Well, it becomes fuzzy. The moment that a group became out of focused, you will never even distinguished the group's goals. Mission and Vision remember? Now, if the vision becomes blurry, the groups main reason for existing becomes questionable and indistinguishable.

I also say that not only in groups, but this also apply to you as a person. If you become out of focus, what happened? What happened to your goals, your dreams?

Also, by focusing on something, you become an expert in something that really fits your life. Hey? Are you a "Jack of all trades, master of none?"

You have to have your own market, your own "niche market." That will make you an interesting fellow. Yes, knowing a lot of things can be good, especially if that is your forte, but please never pretend something that you are not. If that is not your field of expertise, then don't try to fool yourself. You don't belong there. Find something that you really like by heart - that's where you come in.

So again, stay focused.

Rosalie's Journey

Rosalie was kept at a factory as a guard dog for four years. But when the place shut down, Rosalie was left alone in a horrible state. She was just abandoned there, alone in the dark. She was probably just waiting for death, but ...

Disturbing Realities...

It's not too often my stone-like heart is touch by something emotional.

While walking in a dark alley of Binondo, I saw these two kids digging in some garbage. Well, to make a long story short, I ran in the nearest bakery (which is Salazar) and 7-11 store. I then bought some bread, hot soup and some bottled water and gave them to these kids.

Reason? Nothing... I just assume that these kids will be digging garbage the whole night and they must be hungry.

When the little girl smiled and said "Salamat po." It was priceless.

Stag Fiesta!

(NFGB) has launched Fiestag 2014 in SMX Convention Center at the SM Mall of Asia last August 20,21 and 22. The 3-day event had a Bakbakan stag auction, raffles, seminars, bitawang bayan and many more. There  also  exhibit of gamecocks, gamefowl products, accessories and equipments (like incubators, feed and veterinary products). This was sponsored by the biggest companies in the gamefowl industry like Thunderbird, B-Meg Integra, Sagupaan, Supremo, Purina, Lakpue and Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialist. There were also seminars on Gamefowl Breeding (courtesy of Red Game Farm).  It was also a chance for sabong aficionados to see their favorite breeders who are a member of NFGB like Osang Dela Cruz, one of top lady cockers in the Philippines and Baham Mitra. Wow! You can even buy chicken from them.

As part of tradition and Filipino culture, cock fighting has become a billion peso industry – and it’s not just about gambling anymore – it is now about breeding and avian heath. That’s why Fiestag 2014 have focused more into that aspect, bringing to the Filipino cock fighters the newest and most advance equipment and medicines to boost the industry. The lecture/seminar also focused on breeding. It is to make better stocks for better champions.
