A popular book store

When I was still in college, I bought my specialized books here in Popular Bookstore. They were once located in Doroteo Jose St. in Rizal Ave. Manila. Now, a bigger store is located on Tomas Morato Ave. Quezon City.

Comics in the Philippines is still NOT DEAD!

At the KOMIKON 2014...

8th TAGCOM (Toys & Hobbies Convention) in SM Mega Mall.

Toy geeks around Metro Manila had a good time in the recent 8th TAGCOM (Toys & Hobbies Convention) in SM Mega Mall (April 12-13, 2014). There so many booths and collectibles to choose and contests... Wow, cosplayers galore!

Blast from the Past

It is quite sad to think that some Filipinos are not too fond of their own heritage and culture. They will spend their time watching foreign Asian dramas, or going to malls instead of going to a museum… even if the museum is free on Sunday.

Me and my friends visited the National Museum to have a good blast from the past. There are few displays (compare to that privately owned museum in Makati) but it’s OK. Ancient potteries,  ancient weapons and some fauna and flora  all in all the exhibits are nice, especially those about the ancient Baybayin scripts. I would recommend that you visit the National Museum and bring the whole family to experience our heritage and culture, again.
