I'm gonna sell organic vegetables.

I heard that here in Manila, the price of organic vegetable is really sky high as they say. Now, then I saw in Cavinti, Laguna that farmers sell them quite cheap. So, you'll get at least 30 to 60 turnovers of profit.

The problem... Where will I sell these vegetables?
Oh, and by the way, in Cavinti people seems to be fond of home industries. Check some of their products...

Movies in buses are such a bore…

I never even planned to watch that stupid movie when it was being shown, but then...

I was riding this bus from Manila to Sta. Cruz, Laguna when they start showing this movie called “My Lady Boss.” What the fuck! My Lady Boss? 

Oh shit! No choice, since I can't tell the driver to turn off the goddamn TV. 

So the movie is about what? It’s about a girl who needs a dick. That’s what you always get in Philippine movies. 

It’s not even worth any review or remarks. Instead of showing how a “lady boss” can become successful in a world surrounded by pigs and wolves, it depicts successful women must need to have a sausage stuffed in her mouth.

I asked some of the regular denizens of the park and they say that the public park was closed for 4 days now since Typhoon Glenda (really lang ha?). So I asked the guards and  according to Park Securities, the park sustained damages because of the typhoon (Glenda), therefore they are just fixing and cleaning the whole park. 

What?

Ok... Frankly, this is the first time I saw the whole Rizal Park being closed to the public. Yep, the whole park. Now, it has been ravaged by storms and flood stronger compare to the recent "Glenda" yet they never closed it.

Strange, huh?

Maybe before you change the beliefs of other people, try to change yourself first - for the better. That is what we call "having some principles."

Philippine films, gone to the drain

First of all, forgive me for I have grown up in the times when Philippine cinema means Bernal, Broca, Himala, Koronel… it was a time when Filipino filmmakers are more interested in the art of making a good film and not about how much money will a crap get from witless fans. It was the time where movies are created by artist and not by… Er, I just don’t know what to call them... These business-minded individuals being paid by giant TV networks to give their floating “actors” and “actresses” a “movie” so their fanatic admirers can see them in large movie screens. Yeah, that’s what I think.

So? What happened? What happened to cinematography? To the art of directing, script making? Obviously, they just went down the drain.

One of the reasons they say why Philippine movie is so crappy these days is that no one watch quality films. What? So what happened? Do intelligent movie goers all died and became extinct? We all have crappy shows in TV now a days making the “idiot box” more idiotic, so why are we bringing these garbage on the silver screen? Does these hungry giant TV networks still haven’t had enough of making the Filipinos dumb?

Again, we tend to blame the economy for the situation. They say that if you make quality films, only those UP students will watch it. Lugi ang mga producers (Producers will be losing profit). Ah, so again, it’s all about profit. Create crap and you earn lots of money, quality films and you lose money. So, why create films in the first place? Gagawa nga kayo ng pelikula, eh gagawin nyo rin mga bobo ang mga manonood? (You're going to crate films in the expense of making Filipino movie-goers stupid)... and strange that there are quality foreign films being shown in malls here in Metro Manila. Now, why are people watching these films? I thought you guys just said that only those studying in UP watch quality films?

Also, I just like to remind you that...
The term "Indie Film" (or Independent film) means a professional film production resulting in a feature film that is produced mostly or completely outside of the major film studio system. It doesn't mean "soft gay porn," Ok?

Keep feeding people movie crap and sooner or later we get generations of idiots and zombies walking inside movie houses. This vicious cycle just goes on and on and on… until we re-introduced the public to good, quality films again.

A week without Facebook... GREAT!!!

Well, it was a success! Staying away from Facebook does have a lot of advantages. First, my production doubled. Without Facebook, I was able to submit 2 articles a day to my editor.

Second, I manage to update my blog and I even created a new one. I even updated my 3D portfolio! WOW!

So there, now I can really say that Facebook does have a lot of disadvantages. Ok... so do I need to delete my account?

Nah...

I can use Facebook as an advantage. Post my links, look for events... The thing is to utilized Facebook to your advantage. You don't need to be here almost all the day 24/7 and all the weeks. What? Why? You don't have a life?

Make it useful, like just to see what's up, what's the news or something that can give you an idea. - New invention, new event, new info - that's fine.

Discussions in Facebook? Facebook organizations? Ano ako, hilo? No way, Jose! No more discussions and debates. No need to entertain idiocity and SPAMS, fame whores, whiners and those who just rants the whole damn day, trolls and all other forms of BULLSHITS!

Facebook is just Facebook, it's not your real life.

It’s All About Disney and True Love

The problem with Facebook is that you sometimes see your friends status and the most… well, I can’t say irritating coz I’m not that bitter, but when you see newly formed relationships… bleh!

OK, anyway, congratulations to all my friends who have found love in cyberspace. I envy you guys, really. I just got dumped by a girl just a month ago, ended up in the dreaded “friend zone” and she said it has to do with magic. OK… magic. Which brings me to think about Disney.

Magic and love. Ahhh… I know that you might think I’m getting a little bit corny here, but I grew up on Disney movies and let us just say that these Disney animations gave me my idea of what true love is all about. Singing a romantic tune before kissing a girl in a blue lagoon, a magic carpet ride and a first love’s kiss. Maybe too much of it, that I forgot reality when dealing with this magic. I always thought that love is not just about the need for companionship, relationship or… Nah! Love is magic. I just can’t explain it. It seems rationality is not a part of love. So, since I can’t explain it, my best option to express it is, well you got it, Disney animations.

Most of these animations are based on familiar fairy tale stories, maybe that’s why it’s easier for me to follow its love issues, and it’s kinda cute. Good guys always win against the bad guys and they get their girl. Love is expressly in songs, cute situations and magic. Hmmm… maybe that’s why I keep on giving them those Disney Dolls, it’s my option to express my true love.

But alas, reality always kills the fantasy and I got a bitter splash of cold water on my face. But again, that’s not a good reason to lose that magic. Maybe there is really no magic at that time. There are no fairy dust, no flying carpets, no boat rides with a reggae-singing crab, no magic roses and a singing teapot, but as the song says “Love is an Open Door” and all I just need to do is to keep on wishing upon a star.
