The Far Eastern University building was built in 1939 and was designed by Architect Pablo Antonio in 1939 based on a smaller version that was built in Calle Azcarraga in 1934.
It is an example of Art Deco style where it has group of large piers with curved corners on each side, in addition to geometric patterns of iron and concrete. Other Art Deco elements include the Baybayin (ancient Filipino script) on its facade and he stylized FEU letters found at the end of the staircase banisters.
