Baklava? What's that?
Well, that was before I have eaten my first baklava. According to Wiki, "Baklava (/ˈbɑːkləvɑː/, /bɑːkləˈvɑː/, or /bəˈklɑːvə/; Ottoman Turkish: باقلوا [bɑːklɑvɑː]; Arabic: بقلاوة) is a rich, sweet pastry made of layers of filo filled with chopped nuts and sweetened and held together with syrup or honey. It is characteristic of the cuisines of the former Ottoman Empire, but is also found in Central and Southwest Asia."
I have my share of it at Lorenzo's Way in Greenbelt, Makati. It was made with sweet filo pastry with walnuts and pistachios served with ice cream.
There are more delicious dishes you can order in Lorenzo's Way. Check 'em out.
